PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

I teach both pedal and lever harp to all ages and skill levels, and am available for private lessons at my studio in Arlington, Virginia. My teaching emphasizes hand position, articulation, relaxation, body position, musicality, and ensemble playing. I also emphasize elements of music theory, such as aural and rhythm training, beginning harmonic analysis, and sight-singing. Please contact me for more information about rates and scheduling.

FINDING A HARP

Having a harp available for regular practice is essential. If you are just starting the harp and are looking to purchase an instrument I would highly recommend the Lyon & Healy Troubador lever harp. This is an excellent choice for a first harp, especially for young or beginning harpists. The spacing and tension of the strings is the same as a full-size concert harp. Here are some resources for finding an instrument:
